WRDLC Home Page

This is a list of all our known ROM's and ROQ's from 1958 until about 3 years ago. (For the last 3 years of dances, see WRDLC ROQ's.) We are still collecting information about these dances (e.g. collecting cue sheets and entering the dance information from them). And we have a few places to check for some of the "information missing" entries. Still, this is most of the dances we have voted in over the more than 50 years of the council.

Phase II Bonus Rounds of the Quarter (ROQ):

In the late 1980's, many square dance clubs cut back on the traditional half-hour of Rounds before the Squares. This made it difficult for cuers to teach or cue some of the more challenging Phase II dances, and there was a substantial desire to simplify the Phase II ROM to something that could be done from cues, or with very minimal instruction. However, we still had (and have) several Ph. 2 level round dance clubs that enjoyed such slightly more challenging dances. Thuse we began to select a Ph. II "Bonus" ROQ: a Ph. II+1 or +2 dance, usually a bit harder than the regular Ph. II ROQ, and intended for round dance clubs that dance primarily at the Ph. II or Ph. II-III level.

Phase III Rounds of the Quarter (ROQ):

Starting in 1982, the WRDLC began to pick higher level ROM's for those clubs dancing at such levels. Originally called the "Intermediate Level ROM", after the phase categories were added, this became the "Phase III ROM". A year later, we began to select ROM's for the next higher level as well.
